Aisha Howie

Aisha joined Commonpoint in Spring 2023. She has been actively involved in the Summer Youth Employment Program since 2021. Shortly after her first SYEP summer, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from CUNY Hunter College. Aisha is dedicated to social justice and advocacy, with a focus on empowering youth, low-income communities, women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, BIPOC populations, and people with disabilities. Her mission is to expand opportunities for young people, build their confidence, and inspire them to realize their full potential in overcoming challenges and achieving success.. In her free time, she enjoys listening to live music, dancing, being outside in nature, crocheting, and spending time with her loved ones.
