Coping with losing a friend, partner, or family member to suicide? Here is a resource guide.
CAPE is a Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitative Service Program providing high quality mental health services since 1978.
CAPE’s services include individual, marital and family therapy at the clinic at Commonpoint Queens Sam Field Center. We are now offering mental health treatment via telehealth and in person at CAPE in Little Neck and our Department for the Aging Geriatric Mental Health Satellite programs located throughout the borough of Queens. Our team includes experienced LCSWs, a Psychiatrist, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and an RN. CAPE’s Peer Advocates offers telephone reassurance, information and referral, and assistance to CAPE consumers and community residents.
We provide all of our services to people who are homebound due to physical or psychiatric illnesses which impacts their mobility.
CAPE accepts most insurances including Medicare and Medicaid. There is a sliding scale for those who are unable to afford their co-pay or do not have insurance. We are unique in the services we provide, the quality of those services and the access to care for our constituents. Services are currently provided in English, French, Farsi, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, German, Turkish, Yiddish and Hebrew.

*NEW* – MIST Program
We are proud to introduce the Maintaining Independence and Safety through Technology (MIST) Program at the CAPE Mental Health Clinic, which connects seniors to technology in order for them to be able to participate in telemental health, telemedicine, virtual social/recreational programs and to communicate with family and friends. This program provides seniors with technology based on their needs, as well as aims to assist them with technology that they already have.

Youth Mental Health Services
Adolescent Clinic Number: 917-620-1907
In partnership with the Commonpoint Queens High School and College Success division and CAPE Mental Health, we are now offering therapy and teletherapy for community members ages 12-18.
Stressors experienced in adolescence can be extremely challenging and detrimental to a person’s ability to cope in the future. Today’s world is filled with potential triggers including social media, the COVID-19 pandemic, violence, political unrest, and more. Without intervention, we know that life stressors can have a long lasting emotional impact on teens.
Our clinical team is able to provide support and help clients build strategies to manage challenging thoughts and feelings that might get in the way of their ability to live healthy, happy lives. We take the privacy of every client seriously and provide a professional, confidential approach to treatment.
Services include but are not limited to:
Please note: A parent/guardian needs to be involved in the treatment process, as we are not able to provide therapy to a child without their legal parent or guardian being aware that they are in treatment. Most insurances are accepted and a sliding scale is available for those who qualify.
If you are interested in more information, or would like to refer a patient to us, please fill out our form below and we will contact you shortly, or call us at 917-620-1907
Special thanks to the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation for their financial support of this important initiative.
