Overview
We are excited to announce the opening of our Youth Sports classes for Spring from Monday, April 21 through Friday, June 20, 2025! Our dynamic instructors will guide your child to reach their full potential through engaging and age-appropriate sports curriculum. Registration begins Saturday, February 15th – space is limited!

Basketball
Basketball Skills Clinics and Jr. NBA Advanced Clinics
Our Basketball Clinics are designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball. Our progressive games and drills focus on the basics of dribbling, shooting, and passing. These co-ed classes aim to introduce the basics of basketball through fun games that inspire love for the game.
Our Jr NBA Advanced Clinics are designed to introduce athletes to more advanced skills and team play concepts. These clinics will introduce your athlete to complex team basketball concepts including offensive and defensive plays, effective communication, and leadership roles.

Elite Basketball Training
(Ages 12–18)
Our Elite Basketball Training classes are designed for high level athletes looking to take a leap in their basketball abilities. Whether you are looking to improve before an AAU season or high school basketball team tryouts our program is right for you. The combination of our experienced coaches, specialized training equipment (Auto-Ball feeder and Vertimax), and advanced training curriculum will set your athlete up for success.

Jr. NBA Western Basketball League
(Ages 12–15)

Teams will play and train on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:30p.m and Tuesday evenings from 6:00-8:00pm.
Players uniform shirts will need to be purchased separately ($30). *Please note: Specific requests for a team, coach or practice time are considered but not guaranteed.

Dance – Ballet
(Ages 3–11)
The foundation of all dance. Body placement and alignment in ballet are the most important elements for every dancer in attaining balance, control, form, strength, and a beautiful line. Dancers will achieve this through barre and center floor work.
Leotard & tights with ballet slippers required, Ballet skirt and/or tutu is optional.

Adult Ballet

Share in delight as your child climbs, balances, rolls, and swings in our 3rd floor studio indoor play space. The program is an open play format with each session ending with a culminating activity such as parachute, songs and bubbles.

Triple Play
(Age 4 years)
Why choose one sport when you can enjoy them all? Our Triple Play program introduces children to the fundamentals of soccer, basketball, and baseball. Our curriculum emphasizes improvement of gross motor skills and development of understanding of each sport.

Soccer Skills Clinic
(Ages 4–11)
Our experienced soccer coaches teach children the fundamentals of soccer. Athletes work on developing key skills such as balance, coordination, and agility. Our curriculum includes soccer specific games and drills that emphasize fun and progressive development.
For our older age group, our experienced soccer coaches will further develop your child’s soccer skills with a greater emphasis on more advanced skills such as teamplay, space recognition, and field positioning. Our red ball program is designed by athletes who have never played or have very little experience playing tennis. Deepen your understanding and mastery of tennis in our orange ball program. Our tennis professionals will guide your athlete through more advanced skills to improve their technical and point playing skills. Love Serving Autism
(Ages 8–16)
Love Serving Autism empowers individuals on the autism spectrum and those with unique abilities, while supporting families with personalized, evidence-based classes. We focus on building hand-eye coordination, motor skills, communication, and life skills for both children and adults—on and off the courts. For more details, please click here.

Gymnastics Tumbling and Fitness
(Ages 4–11)
Students learn and practice level-appropriate gymnastics skills like tumbling, balance, and agility exercises to build technique while having fun. Classes are designed to incorporate use of gymnastics apparatus such as the vault, balance beam and our Air Tumble Track tumble mat.

- The Central Queens facility is located at 67-09 108th Street, Forest Hills, NY 11375. For all Central Queens sports classes, please drop off and pick up at the gymnasium entrance on the ground floor. For all Central Queens dance classes, please drop off and pick up on the 3rd Floor Dance Studio.
- For security purposes, all Youth Sports & Dance Classes are “drop-off” only. Parents/Caregivers are not allowed to stay during class time.
- All classes take place once a week and will be held indoors. For all sports classes, please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. For all dance classes, dress requirements will be communicated before the semester begins.
- Free on-street parking is available around the facility.
- 7 weeks: $168 members / $210 non-members
- 8 weeks: $192 members / $240 non-members
- 9 weeks: $216 members / $270 non-members

- Member prices are applicable for youth who are currently enrolled in a Commonpoint Queens Early Childhood, Camp, or After School program (20% per child on each of their registrations – please use the code MEMDIS@CQ) or have a family membership at Commonpoint Queens (discount should be automatically applied). We also offer a 5% Sibling Discount (5% per child on each of their registrations – please use the code SIBDIS@CQ). Insurance is included in the fee. Discounts must be applied in the shopping cart before you pay.
- Before the first class is held, 100% refund minus $20 administrative fee.
- After the first class is held, 90% refund of the remaining unused portion minus $20 administrative fee.
- After 2nd class is held, a 50% refund of the remaining unused portion minus $20 administrative fee.
- No refunds or credits after the 3rd class is held.
- Should you choose to take a Commonpoint credit, the administrative fee will be waived.
- All refund requests must be submitted in writing to HFRefund@commonpointqueens.org.
If you would like to apply an existing Commonpoint Household Credit to class or program registration fees, please contact HFDesk@commonpoint.org or call (718) 268-5011 ext. 500 for assistance BEFORE enrollment.
Each participant is entitled to one make-up per semester for a class missed due to illness.
To request a make-up class, please send an email to hfdesk@commonpoint.org and include a doctor’s note related to the absence.
Please note, since some classes are held only one time per week, we may try to accommodate a make-up request by offering a spot in a different sports or dance class during the current semester.
