Marci Hunn

Marci Hunn joined the Commonpoint team as the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives in the summer of 2026, working across the organization to identify and advance strategic opportunities, build cross-sector partnerships, and develop initiatives that strengthen economic mobility and expand opportunities for individuals, families, and communities. She brings more than 25 years of experience spanning workforce development, philanthropy, housing and community development, organizational strategy, evaluation and learning, and executive leadership.

Prior to joining Commonpoint, Marci held senior leadership roles at The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, where she helped shape and lead national workforce development investments and partnered with nonprofit, public-sector, philanthropic, and employer leaders to strengthen pathways to economic opportunity. Earlier in her career, she held public-service leadership roles with the Corporation for National and Community Service. Her experience includes grantmaking, program and portfolio strategy, partnership development, organizational planning, convening, executive coaching, and the design of initiatives focused on employment and economic mobility.

Marci is also the founder of Lakeshire Strategies, a consulting firm that helps mission-driven organizations navigate complex opportunities, strengthen strategy and organizational effectiveness, and translate ambitious ideas into actionable plans.

A committed leader in the workforce development field, Marci serves on the Board of Directors of Workforce Professionals Training Institute and has held additional nonprofit, civic, and workforce leadership roles throughout her career.

Marci earned a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Pennsylvania State University and completed a certificate in Dynamic Teaming through Harvard Business School Online. New to the New York area, Marci is excited to make the region home and deepen her connection to the communities Commonpoint serves. She and her husband have two sons and enjoy exploring their new surroundings together.
