Emily Landeros
Specialist, Data & Insights
Emily serves as a Data & Insights Specialist on Commonpoint’s Impact, Research, and Evaluation (IRE) team. In this role, she supports the organization’s data infrastructure and program evaluation efforts through survey design and analysis, dashboard development, and the creation of tools and guides that help staff work more efficiently with data. From building Jotform surveys and pivot tables to developing presentations and coordinating evaluation efforts across departments, Emily plays a hands-on role in ensuring that data flows clearly from collection to decision-making. She is committed to making information accessible and actionable for teams, leadership, and stakeholders across the agency.
Emily’s background in both Computer science and Economics allows her to approach problems with both analytical precision and a clear eye for what insights actually matter to the people using them. She is particularly skilled at building scalable tools, whether that’s an automated scoring spreadsheet, a live dashboard rollup, or a step-by-step data guide, that reduce friction and empower her colleagues to focus on high-impact work.
Emily is currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning and a B.A. in Economics at the University of Chicago. She is passionate about using data as a force for good, and is driven by the belief that well-designed systems can meaningfully improve outcomes for the communities Commonpoint serves. Outside of work, she enjoys watching premiering movies, exploring new food and dessert spots, collecting little trinkets, and doing fun activities with friends and family.
