Destiny Knight

Destiny joined the Commonpoint community in 2025 as an Advisor with the College Access and Persistence team and transitioned to the Ladders for Leaders program in 2026 as a Program Coordinator. Passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for young people, Destiny is dedicated to supporting youth in building strong foundations for long-term success in education, careers, and life.

A proud Queens native, Destiny is deeply committed to giving back to the community that helped shape who she is today. Her work is driven by a belief in equity, access, and the power of supportive programs to create lasting change for future generations.

In addition to workforce development, Destiny is a mental health counselor who manages a caseload of clients, with a strong passion for working with adolescents. This clinical background informs her holistic, youth-centered approach, ensuring participants are supported both professionally and personally.

Destiny earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University at Buffalo in 2022 and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University at Buffalo in 2024. She is motivated by making a difference and being part of the change she wants to see in the world.
