Overview

Are you ready to take your aquatic skills to the next level? Whether you’re a competitive swimmer or looking for an exciting new challenge, Water Polo is an incredible way to build endurance, strength, and team spirit.

Open to athletes ages 6-18

Commonpoint USA Water Polo Club

We’re launching a premier USA Water Polo Club right here in Queens—and we’re looking for passionate, driven athletes to join our team. You’ll train under experienced coaches, learn advanced skills, and compete as part of a dynamic, supportive group.

Led by Coach Cesar Gonzalez, water polo teaches discipline through world-class coaching and inspire individuals to strive for success in both athletics and their community. Coach Cesar was a participant of the 1984 Olympics Trials in Rome and coached the Colombia Women’s National Water Polo Team.

Participants must be at least Level 4 swimmers or higher. This is a 10 month commitment with 3 practice sessions per week on weekends and weekdays.

Tryouts Thursday, September 11 from 5-7pm
Location: Queensborough Community College, Bayside
Date: September 11, 2025
Participants must be at least Level 4 swimmers or higher.

Water Polo Club will meet from September 11 – June 13
3 practices a week
Thursdays 6-7pm (QCC)
Saturdays 12-1:30pm (Bayside HS)
Sundays 12-1:30pm (Bayside HS)
Games are scheduled to start in January 2026 (subject to available tournaments and/or league games)

Tuition – $2750
Can be paid in 4 installments: $700 at registration, $700 on October 1, $700 on November 1, $650 on December 1st (10% discount if paid in full)
5% discount for siblings

Campus Entrance: Do not use the main campus entrance. Instead, enter at the corner of Kenilworth Driveway & Enfield Place.

Kennedy Hall: Head toward Robert F. Kennedy Hall, where the pool is located.
Building Entrance: Use the main entrance at the top of the stairs.
Pool Access: Go down to the lowest level of the building to reach the pool and locker room entrance.
Viewing Balcony: Spectators can watch from the balcony on the second floor of Kennedy Hall.
