Wildflower Seeds Giveaway at Central Queens Gardens!
Thank you all for participating in our Wildflower Giveaway. Here is an update on our Wildflowers!
Spring starts now! If you are dreaming of colorful bouquets of WILDFLOWERS in your yard or on your balcony for next spring, summer, and fall, start sowing seeds now. We are giving away our garden’s WILDFLOWER SEEDS and True Leaf Market Wildflower Seed Mix, along with the information you need to grow your own radiant mini prairie.
No green thumb required!
How to order:
- Read the information provided in the Sowing and Blooming Calendar to help you select the flowers best suited for your space.
- Click here to fill out our form, where you can choose up to 5 different varieties of wildflowers, as well as schedule a day to pick up your seeds..
- After you submit your order you will receive a confirmation email. If you cannot make your appointment, please email MarieH at mzanzal@commonpoint.org to reschedule your pickup.
- *All Seeds MUST BE PICKED UP at Central Queens*
The table below contains the information you need to choose the flowers that will best fit your space.
It features two packaging options:
- Individual Wildflower seeds from Commonpoint Central Queens Gardens/ They come in small packages of 2 to 5 oz of the same variety. You may choose up to 5 different varieties.
- Wildflower Seed Mix from True Leaf Market: Hummingbird Mix and Monarch Mix best suited for a yard or a bed measuring at least 4 x 6 or 6 x 6 feet.
The table also includes a calendar indicating when to sow and where to sow, based on sun exposure. It also illustrates the flowers’ blooming span and their heights.
