Robyn Saling named new Central Queens Director of Membership and Community Outreach

A woman with long blonde hair smiles at the camera, wearing a black "Commonpoint Queens H&W 2020" T-shirt and a gold necklace, standing against a plain background.

We are thrilled to share that Robyn Saling has been hired as the new Director of Membership and Community Outreach at Central Queens in Forest Hills!

Membership includes access to our Indoor Pool, Fitness Center, Group Exercise classes and discounted rates to Commonpoint programs.

Robyn is well known at Central Queens she has been a dynamic Yoga Instructor, and an invaluable member of our Health and Wellness administrative team for nearly seven years now. She has become a staple of our community thanks to her commitment to helping members in a multitude of ways, as well as with her diverse skillset in supporting the Health and Wellness team with everything from program planning, registration and marketing, to training and supervising new staff members.

A Forest Hills/Kew Gardens community member since 1997, Robyn came to Commonpoint a few years after stepping away from her career in marketing to prioritize being a mother for two young children (who have since grown up at Commonpoint). She started her career in city government and then public relations and communications, eventually becoming a Senior Vice President at a full-service firm, where she led strategy and managed projects for large non-profit organizations, gaining experience with mission-driven organizations.

Robyn has a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, loves to cook, and is a fitness enthusiast who – aside from yoga, obviously – enjoys indoor cycling, weight training and jogging.

When asked what she’s most excited for in her new role Robyn says “I take great pride in ensuring that our members and families feel welcomed, heard and appreciated. My priority will be to ensure that members are happy – that they receive excellent customer service, value for their investment in membership, and have opportunities to be part of our larger community, whether that be on their personal health and wellness journey, special programming and events, volunteer opportunities and more.”
