Danielle Hersch

Chief Strategy Officer

After serving as Commonpoint’s inaugural Chief Strategy Officer since 2020, Danielle Hersch was named Chief Program Officer in the Summer of 2026. In addition to overseeing the organization’s robust program portfolio, which generates more than $100 million in annual revenue, she also leverages her deep expertise in program development, grant writing and strategic partnerships to spearhead innovative initiatives that advance the organization’s mission.

A long tenured member of the Commonpoint community, Danielle’s roots trace back to her time as a participant in adolescent programs at the Sam Field Center. Since joining the organization full-time in 2005, she has dedicated her career to advancing its mission and values, holding critical leadership roles such as Director of Adolescent Services, Assistant Vice President of High School and College Success, and Associate Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. Her leadership has been instrumental in the expansion of services, most notably in the after school, high school, and youth employment portfolios, and the acquisition of significant public and private funding, particularly in support of vulnerable and underserved populations.

Danielle earned a B.A. in International Relations and Journalism from Queens College and a Master’s in Social Work from Adelphi University. She has also completed Executive Management Training at Columbia Business School and holds multiple professional certifications. Danielle and her husband live near several of Commonpoint’s sites, and their two children are proud participants in the agency’s many programs.
