Stephanie Becker

Vice President of Housing

Stephanie Becker became the first ever VP of Housing for Commonpoint in 2026, with over 20 years of experience in housing and community development, including affordable housing finance, policy implementation, program management, and stakeholder engagement. She takes pride in building partnerships with elected officials, government agencies, funders and community-based organizations to advance strategic housing priorities, and looks forward to doing so at Commonpoint.

“It’s been exciting to learn more about all of Commonpoint’s programs and think about how we can use those existing services to support people living in affordable housing. In my experience, the most successful affordable housing developments are about more than just providing a place to live—they connect residents to services and resources that help them thrive. Commonpoint already has so many of those services in place, so now we have an opportunity to build the housing, too. Thanks to Commonpoint’s strong community connections, we’ve already identified some potential development sites, and I’m excited to help move those opportunities forward and turn those connections into housing for the community.”

Prior to joining the Commonpoint team, Stephanie was a Consultant for New York Housing Conference, reaching out to community-based nonprofits, affordable housing developers, and social service organizations throughout New York to understand the impact federal housing cuts would have on organizations and community members. She has also worked with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation, Enterprise Community Partners and other esteemed organizations in the Housing space.
