Fadia Mohama

Senior Director of Strategy and Workforce Partnerships

Fadia Mohama is a dedicated leader at Commonpoint Queens, where she serves as the Senior Director of Strategy and Workforce Partnerships. In this multifaceted role, Fadia manages essential areas, including Migrant Services, outreach for the benefit enrollment department, and family initiatives. She brings in programs specifically designed for migrants, such as OSHA and cleaning service training, and oversees the Migrant Relocation Assistance Program (MRAP), which supports newly arrived families seeking asylum and other eligible families by providing financial assistance for up to one year’s rent and additional services for relocation to Albany, Erie, Monroe, Suffolk, and Westchester counties. Her family initiatives include Health Literacy, coat and toy drives, back-to-school events, Financial Literacy, resource and job fairs, and more. Fadia is also a member of the NY Presbyterian Queens Community Advisory Council and the Queens Borough President’s Queens General Assembly. Additionally, she chairs the ECRC (Elmhurst Corona Resources Collaborative), which consists of 26 non-profit organizations, and actively participates in community partnerships, including the Queens Borough President’s Civic Engagement Committee and Jamaica Community Partnerships. Her leadership ensures access to essential resources, job opportunities, health programs, and enriching experiences for diverse groups, including seniors, women, teens, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people with disabilities. Her dedication to racial inclusion and equity is evident through her involvement in the Taskforce on Racial Inclusion & Equity (TRIE), and she plays a pivotal role in the ongoing COVID-19 response, strengthening local civic infrastructure and addressing community needs.
