Diana Valdez
Career Counselor for the Opportunity Youth Department
Diana Valdez is the Career Counselor for the Opportunity Youth Department in which she provides career readiness classes for young adults ages 18-24 year olds who are enrolled in the medical program. With over 10 years of experience in the education and social services field, Diana has worked with a diverse group of people within providing mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and case management services. Upon Diana’s compassion and helping communities,she has dedicated in helping the youth overcome barriers, build confidence, and help them thrive personally, and professionally.
She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology and Social Work from Queens College, and is working towards her Master’s of Science degree in Applied Behavior Analysis.
During Diana’s free time, she enjoys cooking, learning new skills, and photography.
