Overview

American Red Cross Lifeguarding

Can you swim 300 yards (12 lengths) continuously, retrieve a 10lb. submerged object from a minimum 7 foot depth and tread water for two minutes? If so, you can become a lifeguard! Upon successful completion of the class, participants will obtain a Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification, and certifications in CPR/AED and First Aid.

Water Safety Instructor Course

Want to be certified by the American Red Cross to teach swimming and water safety skills? We offer a 30 hour water safety instructor course!

As a Water Safety Instructor (WSI), you can:

  • Teach skills that can save lives
  • Gain valuable work experience as an aquatics professional
  • Earn money—or join a volunteer team—while you help people learn aquatics skills
  • Learn organizational and presentation skills that can help you in any career
  • Teach kids to swim, help adults refine their strokes and/or teach diving safety techniques
  • Help prepare swim coaches to prevent and respond to emergency situations
  • Make a difference in people’s lives
