At Island Quest Day Camp we take pride in bringing our community together during the summer and beyond.

We’re excited to present a Parent Advocacy workshop led by Rachel Nicholson, on Thursday, November 20th, at 6:00pm. This workshop will take place virtually on Zoom.

*This workshop is open to the entire community, you do not need to be a current Island Quest family to attend.*

Join Rachel Nicholson, a nationwide family advocate, for Advocacy for Families 101, as she shares practical tips, real-world experience, and guidance for navigating special education. With over 20 years as a special education teacher, administrator, and a family member of a child with an IEP, Rachel brings a unique perspective from both sides of the table. In this session, she will cover everything from early intervention to CPSE, CSE, 504 plans, and OPWDD services, offering strategies to help your family access the supports your child deserves.
