Transference and Countertransference: Managing Client-Worker Relationships

Instructor: Instructor: Jane C. Bardavid, LCSW, Therapist, private practice; Former Director, CAPE Clinic, Samuel Field Y

Transference and Countertransference have both positive and negative impact on the client-worker relationship. Transference can stall progress, and countertransference can impede the worker from adequately addressing the client’s presenting problems.  This workshop will focus on identifying and managing both transference and countertransference, how to productively use the information in the treatment relationship as well as assisting workers in developing and facilitating improved self-care.

These sessions will take place virtually and pre-registration is required.  If you’d like to register for a class, please fill out our form and submit payment below. ($50 Fee Per Class – two contact hours unless otherwise indicated)
