Springing Into Health and Wellness
Vaccine distribution, exercise classes, sports clinics, mental health services for all ages, self care at our pool clubs—Commonpoint Queens has always prioritized well-being with a plethora of services, and we’re always looking for ways to help more people.
This was on full display at our first ever Spring Into Health Fair, which took place on Sunday, May 1st in Forest Hills at Central Queens. In partnership with our friends at the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development, we were joined by hundreds of community members for a day of exercise classes, healthy cooking demonstrations and samples, plant and craft activities for all ages, legal and financial resources, composting, healthcare information, and so much more.
“Now more than ever we recognize the importance of not just providing programs that prioritize health and wellness, but making sure that all of our programs and events are connecting our community members with resources, information and opportunities to put their well-being first,” said Danielle Ellman, CEO of Commonpoint Queens.
The Spring Into Health Fair was planned just months after we opened up our brand new Adolescent Mental Health clinic in Little Neck, and we are continuing to take a holistic approach to addressing the physical and mental health needs of our community members of all ages.
