Mariya Ohulchanska

Mariya is the director of Services to Vulnerable Populations programs in the Resettlement and Integration department. She holds a Masters in Clinical Social Work (LMSW) with a specialization in Global Social Work with Immigrants and Refugees through Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.

Mariya has over ten years of experience working with refugees and immigrants, and places special focus on trauma-informed and client-centered service provision. She is passionate about providing accessible, inclusive, and wrap-around services to those in vulnerable situations, especially as they are navigating their transition to life in the United States.

Mariya is originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, and speaks Ukrainian, Russian, and English. She is a registered yoga teacher and enjoys teaching and practicing yoga in her spare time, as well as spending time outside with her friends and family.
