Fun Child Care Programs After Camp Ends

Most camps in New York City and Long Island are wrapping up this week. Commonpoint has the community’s childcare needs met with their End of Summer Mini Camps, which are designed to give children and their families additional academic, communal and recreational support through the end of the summer. Programs are offered at three of their main locations in Little Neck, Forest Hills and Bayside, as well as a Beach Camp in the Rockaways, and a Tennis Camp at Alley Pond Park that runs through September 4th.

For families living in Forest Hills, Flushing, Rego Park and surrounding areas, their Central Queens location offers a mix of fun trips and traditional camp activities like swimming and sports, as well as interactive experiences like print-making, magic shows and lessons, karate clinics and live animal interactions. Trips include the Queens Zoo, Long Island Children’s Museum, Fantasy Forest and more. This is the only location to have separate programs for grade levels K-3 and 4-7.

For families living in Northeast Queens, the Sam Field Center offers a variety of indoor and outdoor sports and activities, daily swimming at the outdoor Tanenbaum Family Pool, and field trips to local entertainment venues like mini-golf, karate, canvas painting, bowling and more. There is one program for grades K-7.

Commonpoint’s Bay Terrace Center also offers a variety of indoor and outdoor sports and activities including field sports, daily swimming at the outdoor Bay Terrace Pool, and field trips to local entertainment venues like Laser Bounce, New York City Aquarium, and more! There is one program for grades K-7.
