Cultural Arts and Jewish Heritage Programs Special Events

The Cultural Arts & Jewish Heritage Programs Department is excited to bring engaging events for families and community members both in person and virtually! Join us to celebrate holidays, cultural celebrations, festivals, and more for all ages.

“Toda, Together” was a Commonpoint initiative, seeking to foster deeper cultural, educational, and social connections with Jewish and Israel culture, history, and people. In a post-October 7th world, community cohesion and cultural understanding are more crucial than ever.

Throughout the month of May, our community came together to honor and reflect through meaningful programming. We hosted an event with Jewish Book Council featuring Richard Hurowitz with our Resilience Program for Holocaust survivors and their families. The wonderful musicians and performers from Project Heroes brought us their new program Rise Up, featuring a moving performance presenting the powerful story of Jewish heroism while celebrating the spirit of Israel. We were joined by photographer and journalist Erez Kaganovitz for a presentation of his Humans of October 7th exhibit. We stood side-by-side at the Israel Day on 5th Parade, marching together under the theme “Hatikvah”, in a powerful display of unity and hope.

Thank you to everyone who joined us!
